Appetite for Destruction
GNR Lies
Use Your Illusion I
Use Your Illusion II
The Spaghetti Incident
Chinese Democracy

God among men. Axl has a fucking badass gritty tone that not everyone digs but is easily my favourite ever. He excels at high register wailing as much as he excels at warm, low-register crooning. Axl Axl he's the man, if he can't do it, no one can.

Some awesome performances:

Haha, knew you'd post that one. :D I prefer the live versions of the song personally, but the studio cut is great as week.

The solo in TIL is really damn underrated btw. Definitely worthy of a GNR ballad.

Yet ANOTHER great live version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBP0HhErcfo

It's a Robin Finck solo. He's a very underrated guitarist.

The solo is probably the best part of the song, truly epic and wonderful. I absolutely love it... I also prefer the studio version of the songs, Axl never nails the high part in the first verse live so cleanly.

Yeah he sounds fucking great right now. Much better than he sounded on the Illusion tour. It's amazing how well his voice has recovered.

Do you know how he got his chops back? Did he just train them back? Or did he have damage corrected and/or saw a vocal trainer? Cause whatever he did, he's back!

I do know that he started working with a new vocal coach around 2005-ish. His technique is very good right now, he can hit strong full F#5's with almost no strain, and that's at nearly 50 years of age...

If he can hit F#5's that easily, then do you think he can reach A5?

Probably not A5 but G#5 definitely. Listen to how strong the G5 at 6:10 is...

I could've sworn I heard a brief A5 right on the end of that line!
