Incredibly skilled metal tenor. Quickly becoming one of my favourite singers.

Some great performances:

The Legendary "Highlander - The One" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OffF0e2h4TU

A great ballad, "Nothing" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zQOZD4qE20

"Pure" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYdbLfLn ... re=related

"World Through My Fateless Eyes" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zl9ZKo-D ... re=related

Also, he's a flawless live singer. Nails absolutely everything.

Nothing is fantastic. Absolutely. Fantastic. Loved it...

Lost Horizon's album Flame To The Ground Beneath is on my waiting list for a very long time, hope I'll check it out soon.

It is indeed.

"Only stars in the sky, far away..."

Both Lost Horizon albums are absolutely ace.

What sort of power metal?

The symphonic (Rhapsody, Stratovarius like) or the heavy-power metal (Helloween, Gamma Ray)?

Combination of the two I'd say. Overall, more similar to the heavy power metal musically, but lacking the overt cheesiness and possessing heavier progressive elements.

Well personally I think the symphonic bands are more cheesy...

Will definitely listen to it in the near future...

So you said you started to enjoy power metal? Which bands do you like?

Right now... Lost Horizon, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, and of course X-Japan. But I haven't heard that much.

Hm, the heavier ones I guess. I still haven't heard enough, but I don't think my fave will ever change.

AVANTASIA

I'll have to get back to listening to more of Sammet's stuff, with my newfound fondness for power metal 'n all...

Location: Daniel Day Lewis has now a won a third Best Actin-- "You think you know me..." Shit.
Avantasia and Edguy are definately symphonic/cheesy power metal, but then again so is Blind Guardian to a lesser extent.

Btw, don't forget Heiman's next best performance to Highlander (imo)
