No, but I'm trying to get into soul a bit more. What era is this Donny? Also, you've got me pegged on my vocal tastes.

I’m afraid I can’t make a ranking, but here’s a list of some male and female singers whose voices I like:

Female

Men: Freddie Mercury, Adam Lambert, Sam Cooke, Elvis Presley, Roy Hamilton, Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson, Jussi Bjorling, Roy Orbison, Andrea Boccelli, Roy Khan, Luciano Pavarotti, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Michael Jackson, Steve Perry, Brad Delp, Frank Sinatra, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Roy Hamilton, Luther Vandross, Tim Buckley, Michael Bolton, Jeff Buckley, Robert Plant, Geoff Tate, Elton John, Billy Joel, Art Garfunkel, Bobby Hatfield, Bill Medley, George Michael, David Bowie

Women: Mariah Carey, Dusty Springfield, Janis Joplin, Grace Slick, Karen Carpenter, Celine Dion, India.Arie, Erykah Badu, Whitney Houston, Regina Spektor, Mama Cass Elliot, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Leontyne Price, Maria Callas, Joan Sutherland, Tarja Turunen, Diana Damrau, Barbara Bonney, Barbra Streisand, Alanis Morisette, Kate Bush, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Kelly Clarkson, Minnie Riperton, Ann Wilson, Pat Benatar, Dolly Parton, Bonnie Tyler, Annie Lennox, Tori Amos, Lauryn Hill, Tracy Chapman, Cyndi Lauper, Norah Jones, Toni Braxton, Alicia Keys, Nina Simone, Etta James, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell

I don’t necessarily listen to all of them, but I at least like their voices. I tend to prefer female singers in general, I think. I could certainly think of more, at any rate.

My list of favorite vocalists hasn't really changed, just some new ones added. Their order is interchangeable, depending on what I feel like listening to.

1. Freddie Mercury 2. Jimmy Gnecco 3. David Bowie. 4. Kate Bush 5. Ann Wilson 6. Rob Halford 7. Geoff Tate 8. Ronnie James Dio 9. Ian Gillan 10. Midnight 11. Matt Bellamy 12. Tina Turner 13. Jorn Lande 14. Russell Allen 15. Jeff Buckley 16. Dame Shirley Bassey 17. Tarja Turunen 18. Renée Fleming 19. David Byron 20. Peter Gabriel

Yes, my first music hero at the age of 10! I'm 45 now. He had the best tone ever IMO.

I also think he had the best tone in rock history (it's a very common opinion).
Also, if you look at out Greatest Male Rock Vocalists thread, I got him raised to #2.

Even in the last part of his career, with all the problems he had, his voice was phenomenal and more powerful than ever.
