Let's spark some new discussion here. Simply link stuff you find impressive/awesome/somehow positive whenever you want. Feel free to expand the discussion!

14:00 is so great, Thom at the top of his game. Stretched into 20 seconds and still keeping it cool!

Also really dig the ending of the incredible "Exit Music (For a Film)" - The way he quivers at the ending has just such a big effect on me every time I listen to it.

Couldn't we basically do this in the Small Topics thread?

What is with this forum and the fear of starting new threads? Not everything needs to be lumped into a large thread.

Yeah, I like this idea. It may encourage the other bottom-half forumites to pop in from time to time as well.

Very cool performance of Creep. And yeah, superb belt at 14:00! Pretty well controlled vibrato for a while on that note as well.

It's funny to watch these old videos of Radiohead and you're like, "Oh yeah, they used to just be a normal rock band."

Knowing the Small Topics, the discussion would pretty much end before it had started.

Heh, indeed! Another one of my favourite Yorke-moments must be, along with "You", the great singing on "Sulk":

3:05 onwards... <3

By the way, Cruz, the new Ours album has some cool stuff by Jimmy! He's taken a step back on the vocal acrobatics, but his voice still sounds as fine as ever.

Wow, I'm so out of the loop that I didn't even know they had a new record coming. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yeah, I love the vocals on Sulk, especially after the key change, as you mentioned. That's probably the best blending Yorke ever did. Funny that he basically never did any belting after OKC, which is a shame since the aforementioned Creep, Sulk, and the incredible climax of Exit Music are made so great because of his use of that technique.

If you want, I can share a link posted by my fellow, so that you can get the album.

I appreciate the offer, but I just bought it. Thank you though!

I love how the vocals were mixed on this track.

Oh man I love that tune....chilling. The Yardbirds had a knack for those 'dark' psychedelic tunes that could give you goosebumps. "Still I'm Sad" and "Only The Black Rose" are two other examples.

The first time I heard the intro I couldn't believe it was John singing like that.
