Start this out for Domino....

Check this out from "In Trance". I believe Rudolf does the lead vocals but Klaus does the falsetto wails in the chorus...

Tell me this doesnt sound like early Priest!

I love this guy. One of my favorites ever.

Yeah Neg, I've heard that album many a time, but I can't find an affordable copy haha I suppose I'll have to cave and spend the 25 bucks! Here's my personal favorite performance of his...His tone, phrasing and projection slay in this..

I never thought I'd say this but early Scorps kicks the shit out of early Priest for me.lol So much more memorable and tuneful melodies and just all around more solid songwriting.

Here's another sick performance of Meine's from "Fly to the Rainbow"

"Speedy's Coming"

Hmmm, I like both early Scorps and early Priest about equally, but I can see why you'd prefer Scorpions.

Yeah I love "Speedy's Coming"! Fly To The Rainbow is a killer album. It continues to amaze me that their most famous tunes are mostly radio schlock like "Still Loving You" and "Rock You Like A Hurricane"....

Yeah, I really like Halford, that's my main reason for enjoying Priest so much. I enjoy the guitar work and overall compositions of songs much more in the Scorps and Klaus does have better melodies than Halford. He gets really intense on certain songs too. "He's a Woman She's a Man" and "Virgin Killer" have really aggressive singing.

Speaking of aggressive singing, check out "Top Of The Bill" that I posted above. The chorus might be his most powerful wail....

I actually just listened to the whole record like a day ago on youtube, and yeah it's powerful as shit! Do you like their albums Lovedrive and Animal Magnetism? I don't think those albums were overly commercial. In fact I pretty much really dig everything through Blackout, it's just NOWHERE near as good as the Roth era.

Actually the only two Scorpions albums I've heard in full are "In Trance" and "Virgin Killer".
Havent heard Lovedrive or Animal Magnetism.

Been meaning to check out Fly To The Rainbow, Taken By Force, and Tokyo Tapes as well.

ooohhhh....I guarantee once you hear Taken by Force that you'll see too, it's their most consistent record. The really found their sound on that album. And Roth's guitar playing went to a whole new level of insane. "Sails of Charon" is probably he craziest solo in the Scorpions.
