Well, it's a demo version of The Fallen Priest, a song from Barcelona. The song was only half-written, most of it is improvised. When he sings "I KNOooooow" around 0:55 is incredible.

OLB is a great Sambora track, his vocals shine on that one. Still, there are even better performances on Stranger In This Town. 8.5/10

How about some masterful switching:

if i rated it as a song - probably 2/10 ..... just not my type...

but - rating it as a vocal performance - AKA - thinking of it in acapella ....lets review it properly - Wanted would like that

the good :this was very cool- and i dont use that word for Perry much - the falsetto switches were incredible, and he had a dirtier less polished delivery which i liked .....

the bad : i still dont like Perry's delivery - and in places - sounds way too whiny and meh to me....

overall - 7/10 ....mostly cause of the falsetto display

Edit : sorry man , forgot that part of the deal

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgJkYm8P ... re=related

something from our parts of the world....different language - so gonna be a challenge ....

I listen to non-English language stuff all the time, so I'm used to that. I'm familiar with Nusrat. Fantastic tenor voice with, of course, a completely different style of singing to what we are used to here in the west. Love the ethereal, haunting yet joyous quality of that song. 9/10

Anyways...

High notes galore :freak:

Pretty awesome song and video, I love that melody and those riffs! The singer is pretty cool, those notes are insane (to answer your question, most of them sound like raspy but powerful falsetto). 2:30 rocks. :parrot: 8/10

I agree with what you said about Nusrat, unique yet fantastic tenor voice. Here is my favourite appeareance by him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h961F-vatKM

Great stuff of course. 9/10. Can't really say much more about Nusrat that hasn't already been said.

You know what I dislike about those Asian singers? You can tell by their tone that they are Asian, they have that high, yet rough voice, which is why I initially loved Toshi from X-Japan, he was very different with a very gentle voice.
Still, those highs are... :freak:
7.5/10

Never been a Whitesnake fan, I must confess. Still, very warm, rich tone... Coverdale has a very emotive voice. Not a bad song either. 7/10

These high voices singers are just the guys from the bands I post about, because I love that kind of singing. Tons of Asian metal vocalists are influenced by Halford, hence that approach. More typical of most Asian singers today would be something like this:

Hm, that sounds pretty much like some Serbian pop song, which isn't all that good.
Still that guy has a decent tone... 6/10

I heard this guy went to Iron Maiden audition after Bruce quit and that he was in top 3 choices.

That riff reminds of "Flash of the Blade" for some reason! The singer was pretty good though I didn't like his tone there that much. Still, I'll give it 7.5/10.

Well, he sounds like Steve Perry alot, so it might not be suited for metal...

The Messenger, by far my fave from Chest, a strong 9.5/10

The song intro was kickass! The vocals were really good but I've still heard better performances by Kiske though the highs were insane. 8/10

This is Finnish cover of certain famous song(the vocalist is Marco Hietala), hope you can stand this foreign language! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV1_Byr9L3I

A Finnish Dio? Damn that guy is good, he got the melodies just PERFECT. From a purely singing standpoint, that was 8/10 easily.
