Totally, its far better than I'd expected. Maybe one off track on the whole thing.

I've been more and more impressed with rock this year than anything else. There are some year topping songs left and right. Ty Segall was always a name that I've seen the past couple years but never really delve into what they do. Gave a listen to their newest album and save the unneeded pretentious feedback closer, it is a great record.

But man, "Wave Goodbye" is indeed the jam that made me think of them as a force to be reckoned with. It is the best Sabbath influenced song I think I've ever heard in my life.

Killer Mike - Anywhere But Here - chorus of the year? I'm getting to Wanta levels of obsession with this album.

Yep. 224 listens to Killer Mike in the last couple months. What an incredible album. I bought the vinyl version to add to my collection the other day. It's tight as hell, and has an extra vinyl with the instrumentals on it. Looks mighty fine on my wall between liquid swords and madvillainy.

Fuck "Oblivion". Everyone consider this for their obligatory Grimes vote. The backwards/whateveritis vocals starting around 1:25 is maybe the most effective use of that technique I've ever heard in pop music.

And then I also like "Eight" more than "Oblivion".

Edit: Actually "Oblivion" really is the best.

nightmusic was also a fave of mine, but it always goes back to oblivion for me. The midway change up is the greatest thing and there's something about how it's presented that reminds me of the best work of cyndi lauper.

this will most likely end up at the top of my song list this year, it is the most sublime thing I've heard. In fact that whole Tomas Barfod album is terrific. One of those albums you know is flawed but you keep returning to for pc's.

Anyway if this song isn't on your list then I don't know what to say
