Sometimes it seems like everybody is into something but you. This is a thread dedicated to the albums that you just don't get or don't like.

I'm sloggin' my way through the '80s so here's all the albums that I've listened to over the past few months that I just straight up hated for whatever reason:
AC/DC - Back in Black
King Diamond - Abigail
Kraftwerk - Computerwelt
Megadeth - Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
Mercyful Fate - Melissa
Naked City - Torture Garden
Pet Shop Boys - Actually
Public Image Ltd. - Metal Box
The Police - Ghost in the Machine
The Police - Synchronicity
Paul Simon - Graceland
The Smiths - Meat is Murder
John Zorn - Naked City

Great album cover, though.

I wonder if people here will continue to evolve in their taste, and look back at their names a couple years later and notice some of their favorite stuff on here.

Some of mine:

My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Stereolab - Emperor Tomato Ketchup
Fripp & Eno - Evening Star
Nirvana - Nevermind
Tangerine Dream - Phaedra
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Boards of Canada - Music Has the Rights to Children
Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music for Airports
Throbbing Gristle - The Second Annual Report
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

Even as a VU fan, I have a hard time figuring out why people go so apeshit over that album. It just seems so much obviously weaker to me than both their s/t album and White Light/White Heat that I find it's place in the canon, almost to the point where it's the album VU album people talk about, really puzzling.

I wouldn't say i dont like it though, i think its ok and has some decent ideas, but meh, it never comes close to the prettiness of their s/t or the raw fun of wl/wh.

Can't say I agree, I do think the album is overrated, but I think VU in general is overrated (I prefer Reed and Cale's better solo work), I still like them though and VU&N is still my favorite.

Loaded however, after the first 3 songs (which are great) that album loses me, it's just so conservative and plain and samey.

I ain't gonna lie, I was never particularly enthralled by Music Has the Right to Children like most folks. I do enjoy it, but I think it's way overrated.

I don't know how anyone could muster up the strength to actually listen to a Boards of Canada album in it's entirety, it's boring droning bullshit, there's so much interesting electronic music out there and naturally hipsters have to find the shitty Itune commercial music to go apeshit about.

I hate it when people abbreviate them as BOC and I think they're talking about Blue Oyster Cult and then I find out they're talking about Boards of Canada and I'm like "oh my bad, I thought you were talking about the good BOC".
