Nice list. Coltrane (along with Duke Ellington) are on the doorstep to a degree (its really tough to get into my top 10. Love Outkast getting a mention too.

Yeah, Ellington could easily make the list once I've really digested Never No Lament.

And I really wanted OutKast to make the list, but I couldn't put them over Van or KC. Aquemini is my favorite hip-hop album.

Aw yea.

Oh sweet, you're a fan? I think he is a master of orchestral ambient music, and his stuff still sounds brilliant out of context. Too bad most people dismiss him as a serious artist because he is a game composer, but not me!

I haven't heard anything but his music from Morrowind and Oblivion, but those are both excellent (soundtracks and games).

Despite my recent hip hop renaissance I'm having trouble finding one artist that I really like enough of their material to constitute a favorite. OutKast is the closest, but they aren't top 10 worthy, so I guess jj (who as far as I'm concerned are uncategorizable other than that they are some form of pop music) are the only hint of hip hop in my top 10--which I can defend by saying if Entroducing is a hip hop album, then Kills is definitely a hip hop mixtape. King Crimson are also really close to being in here on the basis of Court and Red alone.

Did you ever get around to listening to Starless and Bible Black again Dreww?

Yup. I like it, don't love it, but it has potential to grow for sure.
