The way the cymbals fade into nothing during the transition out of the last verse and into the buildup of Starless.

DKs - Pull My Strings, when Jello starts singing "is my cock big enough..." in earnest. These guys knew how to write a pop song.

tortured brutal scream by Plant at the end of Im gonna Crawl

build up into solo of Buckethead's Nottingham Lace

isolated bass part of Primus' Tommy the Cat

beginning harmonica of Springsteen's River

and cliched as fuck - but the drum fills in Tom Sawyer

I can think of dozens of moments in that song. It's very close to being my favourite song ever. Other moments I particularly love are the strings during the third verse (Ice Blue, Silver Sky) and Bill Bruford's amazing cymbal work when the clarinet(?) comes back in after the jam, at about 10.02.

I've eulogised about this Hendrix performance before, but I'll do it again, 'cos as far as I'm concerned, it's the definite Hendrix song. At 4.36 - heaviest moment in music ever. Dreww said it perfectly in the Hendrix thread, it's like Hendrix reincarnated as the god of war coming to fuck shit up. The next bit I love comes just after 11.00, after Hendrix quotes a bit of Star Spangled Banner. He's manipulating his tone in such a way that it kind of sounds like it's melting, for want of a better word.

Does grooveshark not work in Bangladesh, Yousha? There is a youtube link (i've posted it in the hendrix thread) but crucially, it's only 10 minutes, so it misses out the second bit I'm on about. I'll upload it if you want.

Back into the Lips big time again, so here a few FLips moments:

Watching the Planets - 3:21

In The Morning of the Magicians - When that descending bass line drops. When this happened live, sweet jesus. Shivers. Probably the most blissful experience of my life.

Sleeping on the Roof - 0:34 When this part comes, I dunno, I feel straight up content and relaxed as fuck.

The Spark That Bled - 1:36

Silver Trembling Hands - "When she's high"

Speaking of Air, the synth solo in Sexy Boy is the greatest thing ever.
