Santana's hamburger helper tone in full swing spicing up a dull classic, if you ask me. And what a tired, strained, and uninspired voice! The whole thing sounds like a cover band whose membership is guys mostly in their 60s, except for that local high school guitar prodigy who infuses the songs with gnarly garnishes. 10/10

Hi my name is Carlos Santana and I will be wanking in both of your ears today.

But seriously that was so bad I had to listen to the original again to remind myself what the original actually sounds like and that it was actually as great as I remembered. I mean we've got ridiculous guitar wank in a meaningless bridge added in the middle and we've got Santana's completely out of place latin drums. Barf.

Not to mention Scott Stapp and that stale organ.

Arms Wide Open > Anything Santana has ever done

Certainly in terms of depth and sincerity that rings true. The gift of his voice towers over anything you can do with an instrument. His voice doesn't even need instruments really. It's enough. Just. ENOUGH. xoxoxo <3333

I'm honestly surprised any of you made it through the end of that. I turned it off as soon as I heard that guy's voice.

I didn't. I lasted probably 20-30 seconds longer than you did.

Anything Santana has ever done, including that hideous version of "Fortunate Son">"With Arms Wide Open"

And I don't much like Santana. (Although "Everybody's Everything" is really good.

I love Santana. That is a terrible song. But his album with Alice Coltrane, "Illuminations" is really fuckin great

An unpopular opinion, for sure, but I actually found Stapp's voice decent there. Not mindblowing, but decent karaoke-level listenable, imo.

Anyway, that whole album should've never been done. A new kind of abysmal music...

There isn't really anything intrinsically bad about the voice itself, but just his delivery screams douchebag to me.

I wasn't. Scott Stapp is the Ray Charles of this century, except he can see things too so he's better.
