Pain of Salvation are meh, from what I've heard I'm not that interested in them, and usually I fucking love anything that's swedish prog.

I think they have their moments, majority of Be aside. I think the band is all about Gildenlöw though, for better or wors, the other members are so forgettable and boring.

Gildens a heck of a singer, absurdly talented really. and I can listen to songs which are mediocre if the singing is that good. and since I dont mind cheesy music mostly also, it's definitely listenable. I still like Reconciliation and The Big machine a lot.

IMO, they are a very hit-and-miss band. "Iter Impius" is so melodramatic, yet I love it. "Nauticus" is a decent song, so is "Imago". The rest of the album is pure shit, especially the awful 'skits', like those pretentious statements read by their fans.

Yes, as a matter of fact, I had recd Tenhi to Timi on his Finnish page in the rec thread

edit: oh yes, among the 3 ive heard from them, that's my favorite album. It's also my most listened to album of the past 6 months along with Vali's forlatt, which you should really check out if you liked Maeet

Fuck it's weird to hear Porcelain Black discussed on here, considering I listened to Porcelain and the Tramps when I was like 13
