Have you heard the full ballet the Montagues and Capulets is plucked from? If not I highly recommend it (particularly if you can get the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra performance with Loren Maazal at the helm. And is that the suite version you're referring too (because if so it includes as it's meat the Dance of the Knights which is the coolest part of the ballet).

I haven't heard whole suite, I'm into classical for about half a year.

Now I'm into harpischrd, especially Jean-Philippe Rameau.

I like the most part 0:30 - 1:00, I've never saw it on any list, and it's fabolous rondo

5:13 to the end, also fantastic as hell

The Threnody by Penderecki is great. I'd recommend Polymorphia, Dimensions of Time and Sound, and his 3rd symphony if you haven't heard them.

there used to be a video of this piece with gorgeous south american waterfalls... this newer video is no less stunning...

this is unbelievably slow... almost painfully so, even to my ears which usually crave slower tempos...

That was magnificent ! (the faster version). I don't like it very much when they put images of nature on classical music youtube videos. Do you know where those images were taken from?

Very simple for me since I'm basically a symphony lover with a leaning towards the post Romantic era- so here they are"
10 Hans Rott's Symphony #1 (pity there was only one!)
9 Howard Hanson Symphony #4
8 Carl Nielsen Symphony #5
7 Charles Villiers Stanford's symphony #3 (Irish Symphony)
6 Charles Ives Symphony #2
5 Mahler Symphony #1
4 Sibelius Symphony # 2
3 Mahler's Symphony #8
2 Ralph Vaugh Williams Symphony #5
1 Mahler's Symphony # 2 "Resurrection" Obviously I adore Mahler!
