"Cruise" by Florida-Georgia Line has now broken the record for most weeks at number on on the Billboard country chart, with 22. ("In The Jailhouse Now", by Webb Pierce, spent 21--the song is number 26 on this list, but in the original Jimmie Rogers version). I think that number is somewhat misleading--Billboard recently changed the rules of the chart to include sales, which both encourages longer stays on top and allows non-country fans to impact the chart, and "Cruise" certainly has a lot of pop appeal thanks to the remixed version with Nelly. Still, I think it's big enough to make the lower reaches of the charts, maybe around the 260s. Thoughts?
I'm also wondering if I should add second artists to songs such as "In The Jailhouse Now", the way we do it on the Rock songs list.
