Sorry if I seemed harsh, NC, but I thought things went a bit overboard with the subjectivity. I think the list is decent enough, but I don't think "A Tout Le Monde" should be on it. If the point is to represent the album, put on "Elysian Fields" instead. If not, "Poison Was the Cure" would fill out the list mighty fine in my shiny biased eyes. Also, you said "Wake Up Dead" isn't top ten worthy and then put it at #10, JRA?

There's absolutely no reason to have Elysian Fields on there. A Tout le Monde has a case, that one doesn't. I do think Tout le Monde should be on there btw in lieu of better suggestions.

"Sweating Bullets" is a better suggestion for one. It has a case, and it's better than the one for "A Tout Le Monde".

It really doesn't.

1. Holy Wars...The Punishment Due (Rust in Peace)
2. Peace Sells (Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?)
3. Symphony of Destruction (Countdown to Extinction)
4. Hangar 18 (Rust in Peace)
5. Tornado of Souls (Rust in Peace)
6. In My Darkest Hour (So Far, So Good... So What?)
7. Looking Down The Cross (Killing is My Business...and Business is Good!)
8. A Tout Le Monde (Youthanasia)
9. Good Mourning... Black Friday (Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?)
10. Set The World Afire (So Far, So Good... So What?)

Alright, so you all think "A Tout Le Monde" is a more deserving song, or in any case a deserving song, to be in the top ten list for Megadeth? And since you all believe it to be so, there's no point to present any arguments?

I like "Reckoning Day", Negative.

My argument is that Megadeth's fanbase didn't consider it nearly as much of a puss out as when Metallica did with Nothing Else Matters.

Also I've never heard anyone say they hate A Tout Le Monde, whereas I've heard quite a few people say they hate Sweating Bullets.

That said, I would rather have one of the following replace it Ashes In Your Mouth/The Skull Beneath The Skin/My Last Words/Rust In Peace...Polaris/The Conjuring

I think both can be considered, but for real, Wake Up Dead should be in the list right after In My Darkest Hour, christ's sake. It's an amazing song (and everybody agrees with that), it's one of their most well known songs, from one of their greatest album (which happens to be one of the most influential albums of its genre), they play it live pretty much always, what else do you want? I love LDtC, GM... BF, StWA and all those you mentioned, but none of them makes more sense than Wake Up Dead.

Absolutely not. #9 is high enough to begin with.

But, but... why? How can Looking Down the Cross (which is a great song, btw) be higher?

Because even though it's a great song it's rather average by Megadeth standards. and Looking Down the Cross is high up for the same reason Tornado of Souls is, its a hardcore fan favorite.

It's not an average Megadeth songs, it's fantastic, and every Megadeth fan think that. I don't understand how Looking Down the Cross is a bigger hardcore fan favourite, to be honest. You're saying LDtC is like Tornado of Souls, but I think that works better for Wake Up Dead: both are played live regularly, both come in almost every compilation or live album (can't say that about LDtC), both are from classic albums and both are classic thrash metal songs.

I do like LDtC and I think it should stay, but not higher than Wake Up Dead, that does not make any sense to me.

I love Wake Up Dead, and it probably is a bigger fan fave than LDtC...

However, Looking is one of the most criminally overlooked metal songs ever.
Its just so brilliantly put together. I think it definitely 'has more to it' than Wake Up Dead, as a song.

Put Polaris at #4, and Hangar 18 at #10, and I think it's perfect.

No way. I am not putting it above Tornado of Souls, let alone Hangar 18 (and FYI, ToS is my favorite Megadeth song ever).

Polaris really has the least amount of reason out of the songs discussed to be near this list.
