I have always been a huge James Hetfield fan but I agree with him being ranked below Mustaine.

As for syncing it with the greatest guitarist list, the criteria is different here because it's for metal.

The requirement of not being in Creed carries less weight in the greatest guitarists list than it does in the greatest metal guitarists list.

Hmm, Adrian Smith is ahead of Dave Murray on this list but it's the other way around on the main rock guitarists list.

Is there a a system to that? I thought they were considered equal when lumped together on the rock guitarist list. Either way, the general consensus is that Smith is the better guitarist. Also, if that's the only deviation from the rock guitar list that you see, then you might wanna look again. :razz:
