So I saw Rhapsody last night with Voyager opening. I talked to Scott from Voyager for a while before the show and ended up buying one of their CDs. They're an awesome Australian progressive metal band. The singer plays a keytar live, and they did this whole series of brief covers at the beginning like Axel F, Misirlou, Highway to Hell, and American Fuck Yeah.

Rhapsody was epic. Easily one of the best live acts I've ever seen. The venue was tiny and standing-room only. This is the view I got from right in front of the stage:

Fabio Lione was literally a foot in front of me and I made eye contact with Alex Staropoli and Tom Hess multiple times. They also played two encore sets of 5-6 songs. Definitely see them at some point if you can, as I've never seen an audience of like 150 people that into a show.

Doesn't Piece of Time count for the 90's only?

Edit: yes it does. On your list anyway.

http://rateyourmusic.com/lists/list_view?list_id=233496&show=25&start=25

I can just take that one off, and all your numbers will just get -1 unless you want to add in another one.

You know the more I think about it, the more I just want to redo the list. I also want to redo the list from the 90s cos my 90s collection has changed ALOT. Problem is we only seem to have 4 regular posters here.

Piece of Time should only count for the 80s. It was originally released in 89, but I believe it didnt' get out in the US before that. Not sure why I let it on the 90s list.

That was from quite awhile ago though. Would be interested to redo it.

You know, I actually think we should redo our "top 100 albums from the 80s" list. For one thing I have acquired alot of the albums on it that I have previously unowned/heard.

Same thing for the 90s as well. There are waaaaay too few Immortal albums there.

Just wanna say that I worship, love, and adore metal.
I cant express my love for this music, and what it does to me, in words.

Malmsteen on Pantera:

As far as the singing goes, I couldn't find enough words to describe my disgust. Because it's really not singing. It sounds like somebody is either shoving something up the vocalist's ass, or something is coming out of his ass and mouth at the same time. It's a stupid excuse for being someone who stands in front of a mic stand.
