Don't see this going past 50, and i'd probably put the First Wave Jamaican Ska into a separate list, seeing as you're likely referring to the Second and Third Wave for you to post this in the Punk & New Wave thread.

If had to make a top 10 for this right now:
1. The Specials
2. Madness
3. Operation Ivy
4. No Doubt
5. Mighty Mighty Bosstones
6. The Selecter
7. The Toasters
8. Less Than Jake
9. The (English) Beat
10. Streetlight Manifesto

Before you ask, Sublime is not a ska band. They - at best - recorded only four or five ska songs. Reggae music was a much more important part of their sound than ska.

First Wave Ska list:
1. Prince Buster
2. The Skatalites
3. Derrick Morgan
4. Byron Lee
5. The Wailers (early career)
6. Willis Jackson
7. Rico Rodriguez
8. Jimmy Cliff (early career)
9. Eric "Monty" Morris
10. Millie Small

Not only do they have influence and acclaim, but aside from UB40 they were the most successful singles act in the United Kingdom during the 1980's.
