Frances The Mute is a triple album? I don't think so.

The vinyl was a 3-disc set. Whether that should be the determining factor with a release from well into the CD era is another question.

I think that for any album released in the last 15 years, the CD format should be the determining factor.

BloodSugarSexMagik might have been a double album on vinyl, and '91 was a borderline year for whether vinyl or CD is the relevant format. So I don't know on that one. But Downward Spiral is from '94, which I think is safely in the CD era, so I agree that it shouldn't be on the list.

I agree. At least to #17, and maybe higher.

I'd say it outdoes The River for sure.

Yeah, I was looking at the list in the 2nd post, so I agree with that.

I'm not saying it should be on this list, but would something like Use Your Illusions be considered a double album or two separate single albums?

I think it should be considered 2 separate single albums. They're packaged and sold separately, and had separate chart listings.

Skullkid had a mini-list for simultaneously released counterpart albums, like the Use Your Illusions and Tom Waits' "Alice" and "Blood Money" on the old forum thread.
