This is a list of the 100 Greatest British rock groups that don't come from England.

Criteria: The artists were ranked for their popularity, critical acclaim and influence on rock music from an international point of view. Artists must be from the United Kingdom, but not from England (meaning Scotland, Wales and North Ireland. Isle of Man is also eligible, but no artists from there are on the list).

Ireland is its own country. It hasn't been apart of the United Kingdom since 1922. Northern Island is still apart of the United Kingdom, and U2 aren't from Northern Ireland.

I own read and/or own alot of music reference books (All Music Guide books, Joel Whitburn chart compendiums, music encyclopedias). On top of that, i'm very interested in Welsh rock music.
